Sitecore WFFM Form

Insert predefined Sitecore-based forms for user interaction with the Web Forms for Marketers functionality.

Folder structure

Its possible to organize the form items in the content editor to make it easier to navigate through.

Create folder under forms and move forms item into folders, in the shown image there is created a folder called Tradecouncil-EN to organize items that is related to that site, the other folder called wffm is created to contain all the Sitecore-WFFM-Form items that is going to be created when forms are inserted.

Its always possible to move the items if they not located in the wanted folder even after the form is created.



Create a Sitecore form 

1. Important to select language version before you start create the form. 

Then Select create in top left select blank form




2. Setup the form elements it has to consist of and then click save.



3. If existing select a folder related to the form, otherwise select the root(Forms) and save.


Insert Sitecore form 

1. Select WFFM Form:


2. Click Add here in the form zone an select Mvc Form.


3. After the rendering is inserted select more and edit component properties on the mvc form rendering.


4. Browse datasource and select the form to be insertet.



Problems with Publish

If there is trouble with publish the form try do the following steps:

  1. Find out the datasource name of the Sitecore WFFM Form, select the area choose more options the edit properties.
  2. Then notice the datasource name as shown.

  3. Then go to the content editor and publish the Sitecore WFFM Form datasource.

  4. Under same Forms folder find the form item by its name and publish that aswell.

  5. Now the form should be fully published
